Please read the following before proceeding with Online Registration
General information
Online registration is now available for the upcoming 2008-2009 season. NGBA uses Active.com, for taking online registrations. We have been using Active.com for the past several seasons, with terrific success.
Membership in the Active Network is not required for online registration and NGBA does not endorse becoming an Active Network member. However, creating a free Active.com login might make it easier to register for NGBA next season. NGBA does not recommend purchase of a paid Active.com "Advantage" account.
All questions with a * must be answered to successfully complete the registration process. You can get more information about some questions by clicking on the tiny
icon.
Scholarship
It is the policy of the NGBA that no girl should be denied the opportunity to play basketball due to her family's financial situation. In case of family hardship, the registration fee will be waived upon written request. All scholarship requests are confidential. You can still register on-line even if you are receiving a scholarship. Contact the Registrar for details.
Paying by Check
Online registration is designed to simplify the process for parents and NGBA volunteers, and simplifies the registration process by allowing payment by credit card. NGBA strongly encourages all registrants to use the on-line system with a credit card. You can, however, pay with a check and still use on-line registration. Contact the Registrar for details.
Multiple child discount
NGBA provides a $10 per child discount for each additional child registered from the same family. To obtain these discounts, all children must be registered and paid for at the same time.
Player Safety
For the girls’ safety, no jewelry (bracelets, rings, earrings, etc.) of any kind may be worn in practice or games. Girls may not wear anything in their hair that could result in an injury, such as beads or barrettes. Under no circumstances (including covering them with tape) may earrings be worn.
Please use a valid email address
The email address that you provide Active.com with during registration is used by NGBA to inform you of your child's team assignment and convey other important information during the course of the season. If you don't provide a valid email address, you may have a hard time getting the information you'll need for your daughter to play. Active.com has promised us that they will use these email addresses for no other purpose.
Last but not least
When you are finished registering online you should receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive this confirmation, please email the NGBA Registrar immediately to confirm your registration was successful.
