General Information
NGBA has a very successful program for high school players. The high school league usually includes between 4 and 6 teams and 60 players!
This league is intended for girls who have played basketball and are seeking a fun and slightly more competitive experience. Players in the high school league generally are former grade 2-8 NGBA players interested in playing a recreational, competitive basketball game on Saturdays. Freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors were all represented on last year's rosters. A special effort is made to allow groups of friends to play together.
Highlights of the program
- Open to all Newton residents attending high school or non-Newton residents attending school in Newton
- High school rules
- No practices
- Games will be Saturday afternoons.
- Minimum 7 game regular season
- March Madness tournament at end of season
- All players play at least ? of game
- Great even if you are playing a high school sport
- Fun and Competitive
Registration
In some years, we have had many late requests and were not able to accommodate all players. Please register early in order to be guaranteed a roster spot. Go to Registration!
